Christmas Performances

25th November 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: JYS Christmas Performances – December 2019
Please find below details of our Christmas performances!
Key Stage 1 (including Reception)
Our Lower School production of ‘Everyone Loves a Baby!’ will take place on
Tuesday 17th December in the school hall at 9:30am and 2pm. All children in Year R, Year 1 and Year 2
will be involved in both of these performances.
As in previous years, due to the amount of seating available in the hall, admission to both performances
will be by ticket only.
Please visit the school office to collect your tickets from Monday 2nd December until Friday 6th
December. If you are unable to come to the office in person, please telephone during the week of the 2nd
December instead and the office staff will reserve tickets for you to collect at a later date. Please note,
tickets will only be given to those families who request them. Each family will be able to request a
maximum of two tickets in total. The following options are available:
 two tickets for the morning performance
or
 two tickets for the afternoon performance
or
 one ticket for the morning and one ticket for the afternoon performance.
From Monday 9th December, any leftover tickets will be made available on a first come, first served
basis from the office.
Please note that due to a lack of space, no pushchairs will be allowed into the hall during the
performances.
Key Stage 2 – Years 3, 4, 5 and 6
This year’s Key Stage 2 Christmas Performance will take place at St Paul’s Church on Monday 16th
December at 6:30pm. All the children will be involved and all parents and siblings are invited to join us.
Please could the children arrive at the church at 6:10pm, wearing their school uniform, unless directed
otherwise by their class teacher. As the church is large, there should be no restriction on seating for
those watching!
Photographs and filming
Please be aware that we do have some children in school whose parents do not want them to be in photographs or videos. We therefore ask that no pictures are taken and no filming takes place during the Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 performances. You will have the opportunity to take pictures of your own child in costume at the end. We will also be taking some photographs during the dress rehearsals and these will be put on the website for you to look at as soon as they have been checked and edited.
Retiring Collections
At the end of all of our Christmas performances there will be retiring collections. Monies collected at the end of the Key Stage 2 Christmas Concert will be donated to the church who are allowing us to perform there. Donations collected at the end of the Lower School production of ‘Everyone Loves a Baby!’ will be donated to Chestnut Tree Hospice.
We do hope as many of you as possible will join us for these festive occasions!
Yours sincerely,
Mrs A Sadler
