SEND Policy

At Jessie Younghusband Primary School, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Our SEND Policy outlines how we identify, assess and support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). It explains our approach to inclusion, the responsibilities of staff, how we work with families and external agencies, and how we ensure that pupils with SEND can access a broad, rich and engaging curriculum.

The policy reflects our commitment to removing barriers to learning and ensuring that all children have the opportunity to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

We believe that parents and carers are key partners in their child's education and encourage families to contact us if they would like to discuss any aspect of their child's needs or support.
